COBB – John G. Cobb, aged 80 of Kentwood was called home on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 after suffering a stroke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Hilda Cobb and sister, Mary Lou. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Jane; children, Michael and Juleen Cobb, Steven and Michelle Cobb, Christopher and Kimberly Cobb; grandchildren, Lynsey, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Cassandra, Eric, Alex, Anna, Nicholas, Evan; brothers and sister, Leroy and Barb Cobb, Carole and Pat Crumback, Paul and Judy Cobb; sister-in-law, Ellen Golec; and many nieces and nephews. John retired after 42 years as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA. John proudly served in the US Air Force and his family is thankful to God for the blessing of his life. Memorial services for John will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE with Rev. Dirk Ailts officiating. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 pm.
