Elizabeth “Betty” VanderSchuur, age 92, of Jenison, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and her grandson, Marcelo; sister, Jean DeBoer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jan and Dr. Doug Van Drie and their children, Sara, Aaron and Karen, Mario and PaYia, Laura, Jon and Heather, Elena, Jeremy, Anna and Chris, Cintia, James and Jyanae, Libby, Konika and Kaan, Brandon, Karina and Reid; Joe and Aileen VanderSchuur and their children, Allison and Brent, Jesse, Joel and John; Lori and Les White and their children, Christopher and Micah; 25 great grandchildren; siblings, Margaret VanderSchuur, Bill Van Zalen, Connie Van Sledright; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday 10 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Dr. Marvin Heyboer officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 7-9 pm at the funeral home, as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Christian Reformed Missions c/o Brenda VanderSchuur or Hospice of Holland.
