We want to express our sincere sympathy to you, Joyce, and your family in the loss of Don. We remember him well from Carlisle Church and your kindness to us in helping us find the perfect rental house when we married 47 years ago. You were both also kind to my mother over the years. Don's kind heart will always be remembered. He loved and served the Lord and his family. May God comfort you in your grief and sustain you in the hope of eternity. We will see him again in our heavenly home.

There are no words to describe how proud I am to call you grandpa. The lord couldn't have blessed us with a better man. I don't think there is a soul out there that meet him that didn't instantly fall in love with his charm! I feel so fortunate for all of the memories and great stories that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. I'm sure gonna miss you gramps, but we will meet again. Love you always, your little chick.

So sorry for your loss. We met Don, Joyce & Penny in FL this past winter. We enjoyed his humor. He spoke often of his family & how much he enjoyed you all. During the short time we knew him as our neighbor camping, we knew he was a great guy. We are blessed to have known him for a short time & will remember him always. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all.

Gramps was one of my favorite people in my life. I always enjoyed our times together. We had some great conversation and many laughs. I never minded if he told me the same stories multiple times. It was part of his charm and I loved it every time. Especially the devious jokes. He was a great story teller. He always amazed me by his knowledge of ,you name it; mechanical things, cars, trailers, motor homes , engines, motors, furnaces, hot water heaters etc. He knew everything in my eyes and I new he could fix anything. He was always willing to help me no matter if he had a million of his own projects to do. He was a selfless man and full of great character and integrity. My favorite thing about gramps was I knew he loved Jesus and all of us more than we could imagine and he always wanted to talk to us and be with family.Gramps showed this right up to the end. I'm sure going to miss my gramps. Nothing other than Jesus can fill the void in my heart after this loss. I know he's in heaven with Jesus and family gone before, and don't wish him back from the blessing he's experiencing now since suffered so here for too long. Yet it would be nice to hear one more story from my hero one more time. Love my gramps.
