Henry A. Rubingh, age 85, of Grandville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 25, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marian. Henry was a faithful employee at Spartan Stores where he worked as an accountant for 38 years, until he retired. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, David Rubingh, Michael and Kris VandenBerg, Gordon Lusk; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Martin and Virginia Rubingh; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gertrude Rubingh, Gerri Rubingh, Eleanor Michmerhuizen, Joan Bruins, Joan M. Bruins, Bernice Bosscher, Ruth and Roger Bremer; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 1 pm at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave. SE, Wyoming with Rev. Casey Freswick officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 12-1 pm at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Manor Benevolent Fund.
