John A. Bosch

John A. Bosch, age 88, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2015, while surrounded by his family. John was a member of the North Blendon Christian Reformed Church where he served in many leadership and ministry positions. He was involved in various mission organizations, including Rehoboth Christian School in New Mexico. John was self-employed for many years as a carpenter and later retired from West Shore Services, Inc. of Allendale. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities and events. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. John also proudly served our country as a member of the US Army. Devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Grace (Westveld) Bosch; children, Randy and Deb Bosch, Jeff and Cindy Bosch, Kevin and Shelley Bosch, Lynel and Jon Sonneveldt; grand children, Jeremy and Jennifer Bosch, Jodi and Trevor Overweg, Aimee Bosch, Jonathon Bosch, Katie and Andrew Betka, Kristen and Matthew Brown, Katelyn Bosch, Rebecca Bosch, Allison Bosch; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Hassevoort; sisters-in-law and brothers in law, Marcia Bosch, Jean Westveld, Harve and Rosie Westveld, Pat and Ken VanderKodde; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Holland for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 11:00 am at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor, 49426. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott Street.
