Kenneth Kositzky

Kositzky, Kenneth Kenneth G. Kositzky, aged 74, of Wayland, formerly of Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 and will be celebrating Christmas with Jesus this year. Ken was a compassionate, tender-hearted and loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family. He passionately served the Lord with music, specifically singing and playing piano. He retired from the State of Michigan after almost 30 years of faithful service. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Kositzky. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 52 years, Virginia “Ginger”; children: Dale and Kimberlee Kositzky, Tim and Rhonda Kositzky, Jill and Joel Huizinga, Mark and Darci Kositzky; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Patsy St. Ours, Mary Wiltse; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, with Rev. Rick Rush officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Breton Woods Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate and loving care of Ken.

Dear Ginger & Family, I was so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Now it is I writing my condolences as you five years ago, and I want to thank you for your message. Looking at Kenny's picture makes me smile, he hasn't changed from our high school days. What a wonderful smile and I can imagine Kenny meeting Jesus with that smile! Kenny's message on the back of his graduation picture to me is the only one I remember- he wrote that my tonsils sound like tom- toms! May God bless and console all of you now.
