Norman G. Heileman, Sr., age 82, of Jenison, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He retired from General Motors Diesel Plant Tool and Die after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially snowmobiling, raising horses, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Douglas Troy Van Dyke and infant Jason Jerls. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Jean (Larabel); his children, Norman Heileman, Jr. (Paula), Chris and Tom Van Dyke, Vicki and Kirk Lawton, Paul and Lori Heileman, Matt Heileman, Melissa Heileman; grandchildren, Craig and Michelle Van Dyke, Jen and Ben Dykstra, Josh Stonto (Ashley), Ashley and Ty Holst, Sheila Heileman, Lindsey and Alex Hanes, Paul James Heileman, Brett Lubben (Chelsea); six great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison with Fr. Ronald Hutchinson Celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service. A vigil service will be held Thursday 7:45pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.
