Paul Jay Kuhtic, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 56, on Tuesday October 6, 2015 surrounded in love by family. ALS came into Paul’s life and broke the threads that held him. We came to discover over the last two and a half years it wasn’t a battle with ALS Paul needed to fight, because the grace of God had already won. Paul was happiest when surrounded by his three grandchildren and family. He loved to be outside, and had a true passion for having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. The family would like to thank the many special friends and family who have been so supportive over the last few years.  Paul will be dearly missed by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl; daughters and grandchildren, Julie and Brian VanTil (Regan, Collins), Autumn Kuhtic (Ava); sisters and brother, Judy and Bob Anderson, Joseph and Valerie Kuhtic, Helen and Mike Martin, Denise and Bob Wisniewski, Marilyn and Tom Wilcox; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday 1:30 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Jeremy Visser officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

-Autumn I'm sending your family hugs and Ava as well. I know she will miss her grandpa very much. Revelation 21:3,4 I hope that can bring some comfort to your family. Stay strong and don't give up.

Entire Kuhtic family, I have so many memories of our times together over basketball, but probably the strongest is of your Dad--with his kind and thoughtful comments--after each game. It was a wonderful representation for the love he had for you girls (and then later his grandchildren). I will always remember his demeanor and feel there are very few out there as caring as he. All our love and sympathy, The Lancasters

We are so sorry for your loss, Paul was such a great person. I would like to share with you a verse by Helen Keller that really held me together last year and hopefully you will also like. "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us"
